Support - Smart Plugs
Introduction
Overview
The Atomi Smart Plugs are brilliantly designed to make your life easier and simple to manage. Any device you plug into the Smart Plugs can be controlled through the Atomi Smart app.
Before you begin
- Know your Wi‑Fi network and password.
- Make sure your mobile device is running iOS® 8 or higher or Android™ 4.1 or higher.
- Make sure you’re connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network (Atomi Smart can’t connect to 5 GHz networks).
Connecting Your Device
Step 1: Download App
Download the Atomi Smart app from the App Store or Google Play and create an account. If you already have the app installed, check for updates to improve your experience.
Step 2: Adding Your Device
- Select “Add Device” or tap (+) at the top right corner of the screen.
- Choose “Smart Plug” or “Smart Outdoor Plug” from the device list.
Step 3: Connecting to Wi‑Fi
- Enter your Wi‑Fi network name (2.4 GHz only) and password.
- Press ‘Continue’.
Step 4: Plug In
Plug your Smart Plug into any outlet.
- Confirm that the blue Wi‑Fi indicator light is flashing. If not, press and hold the power button until it starts flashing.
- Press ‘Continue’.
- Read the instructions on your phone screen and press ‘Go to Connect’.
- On your phone’s Wi‑Fi screen, select ‘atomi‑smart‑xxxx’.
- Once it connects, return to the Atomi Smart app and wait for the installation to complete.
For iOS: After connecting to “atomi‑smart‑xxxx,” return to the app by tapping “Atomi Smart” at the top left or by switching back to the Atomi Smart window.
For Android: After connecting, you may see “Connected without internet.” Ignore it and return to the app by tapping the back button on the bottom navigation bar (not the top left “back” button).
IMPORTANT: If you cannot see “atomi‑smart‑xxxx,” press and hold the power button again for 10 seconds and refresh your Wi‑Fi list.
