Setting up your Smart Garage Door Opener
Your Smart Garage Door Opener is easy to set up, because we know some things should be stress-free
FAQs & Troubleshooting
Make sure you entered the correct WiFi password during the WiFi setup. Check if there are problems with your internet connection. If the WiFi signal is too weak, reset your WiFi router and try again.
1. Close all apps that are running in the background then re-open the Atomi Smart app.
2. Uninstall and reinstall the Atomi Smart app then repeat the setup process.
Check that the red and white wires running from the Smart Garage Door Opener are properly connected to the garage door opener panel. Make sure each wire corresponds to its respective color on the module at the back of the garage door opener panel i.e red to red and white to white.
On the Atomi Smart app, go to Me > Settings > Push Notifications and slide the bar to turn on push notifications.
Wi-Fi networks come in a lot of shapes and sizes with many quirks. It doesn’t mean your Smart Garage Door Opener is malfunctioning. If problems persist, please try these steps, in order:
1. Force quit and re-launch the atomi smart app. Check to see if this fixes the issue.
2. Unplug Smart Garage Door Opener and plug it back in. Check to see if this fixes the issue.
3. Unplug your Wi-Fi router and plug it back in. Check to see if this fixes the issue.
4. Delete and reinstall the atomi app. Check to see if this fixes the issue.
5. If all else fails, restore your Smart Garage Door Opener to factory settings: Unplug your Smart Garage Door Opener. Plug it back in and pull and hold the power button for 10 secs.

This is a great product. My garage opener was malfunctioning, and I decided to replace it with the Atomi smart garage opener. I can’t stress enough how much I appreciate the easy set-up. It’s pretty great how it practically just slips over the old switch. Being able to open your garage with voice command is nice, but the camera feature is the best. My wife thought she heard a noise in the garage and it was simply a matter of looking at my phone screen instead of going out to check it out. Can’t say enough about this garage opener.

I honestly bought this for the camera feature. Somebody keeps going into my garage from the back door and stealing stuff. It looked easier to set up than a traditional camera, and it was. Can’t wait to catch whoever it is in the act. Anyway, good product I would buy it again.

I hated my old garage opener. The remote broke and it was going to be a hassle to program a new, universal remote to replace it. So when I saw this, I thought it a better solution. Yeah, it was just as difficult to set up as I imagine a universal remote would have been, BUT I can now control my garage with my phone so I don’t have to worry about if the Atomi remote breaks somehow, or even about changing the battery. Anything I can do with my phone, I’m all over it. Highly recommend.

Thought I would not be able to use my old opener. Glad I can keep it as a backup. I have an old automatic garage door, so I was worried it wouldn’t work but it did. I think the camera is a bonus feature but one I don’t use very often.

If you’re not super into smart home technology, but you’re curious, this is a good starter product. The manual actually made sense (lol) and setting it up took about 20 mins. The original door opener in the garage still works perfectly, and adding this device doesn’t change that. So, if you want, you can switch between using both. The camera is a cool bonus feature. How many of us can never remember if we closed the garage door when leaving the house? That’d be me.
